Belated Christmas Wishes

In Ireland at the moment spending Christmas with J's family and enjoying the sunny weather.

Spent a long weekend in Barcelona and it definitely wasn't long enough. We spent the days wandering the narrow streets, stopping off for tapas and €2 glasses of vino tinto. We went to the massive covered market and saw racks and racks of delicious jamon. We had yummy cava - sparkling wine for just €3 a bottle, yes bottle. Plus smoking is allowed just about everywhere (including the Metro??), what's there not to like!?

Anyway, just a quick entry to wish you all a belated happy Christmas and a fun and safe new year! :)

Time to start on those new year's resolutions...

The End of Year "Limbo"

Alas, they say time flies when you're having fun. The year is almost over and it's time to reflect, regroup and all that jazz.

Bugger.

Yes it is time to reflect, well for me anyway. A lot has happened this year, and a lot more since I first moved to New York over three years ago. I have a tendency to get moody this time of year - have I done anything worthwhile this year? Have I achieved anything? What plans do I have for next year?

More often than not those questions go unanswered and they end up being lumped with my new years resolutions. I'll get to them...eventually.

Yes, planning is not my forte.

But there is planning that needs to be done, next year especially so. I'm scared, apprehensive and freaked out by the amount of planning I need to do.

We've talked for a while about moving back to Sydney, but now J and I are unsure. We both initially (naively?) assumed that things will be the same when we go back, but circumstances change, people change, and we've changed.

So now we're in limbo. What to do next? Where to go next? Throw in a wedding that we've tentatively set for December in Sydney, which we've yet to even begin organising, and you catch my drift.

Bugger.
