Yes, this blog has taken yet another change in direction in its rather short life - first it followed my excellent adventure in New York; then as my return and rediscovery of Sydney; and now as my experiences on being a first time mother. I admit the first few weeks were hard, but now the little guy is 4 months old and we've managed to get to know one another a little better, its time to start blogging again. Woohoo!

I happened upon your blog today and thought I would say "Hello from Montreal, Canada." :)
I also love (and miss) the Food Network. I no longer get it due to my cable company making it more complicated and expensive to get than before, but my favorite shows on that network are definitely Barefoot Contessa and $40 a Day.

You should get the Barefoot cookbook...I love Ina's recipes. Some of them are a little tricky, but always delicious! I have one of Rachel Ray's books, but to be honest it didn't do it for me, maybe because there weren't any pretty pictures in it ;)
You should check out the Food Network's website, they have short videos there if you need a fix!
Another great website is http://www.epicurious.com, some great recipes there too.
